TRIGGERPOINT TECHNOLOGY TRAMS Advanced

It’s a dangerous world. Active Shooter Interdiction is now typical when engaged in hostage rescue. The Paris Concert Hostage Crisis served as a wake-up call to all military and law enforcement institutions worldwide.
The level of lethality presently utilized against unarmed individuals necessitates the most modern combat training and tactics ever conceived.
Tier One Operator training tyoically teaches breaching with the weapon safety set to FIRE and the trigger finger on the trigger.

About TRAMS Advanced

Person Holding a Gun
TRIGGERPOINT TECHNOLOGY TRAMS Advanced is a Fully Integrated Fire Control System that combines momentary button activation with Trigger Touch Activation of targeting designators and illuminators. It provides a smooth, intuitive tool for the world's quickest time-measured force-on-target capabilities.
CQB studies with retired special forces operators indicated a 1/3 to 1/2 second advantage over support hand squeeze-switch activation, all things being equal. As your trigger finger depresses the tab and approaches the trigger, the light and laser reveal the opponent and the bullet's impact site. Follow-through can be almost instantaneous.

Sniper Applications

Snipers that use trigger tab controlled IR designation and illumination for precision night shooting have increased efficacy by utilizing the only hand they have on the weapon. They may observe a target, momentarily light it up for correct friend/foe identification and verification by the spotter, and then fire, all with minimum electronic signature and without breaking position.

TRAMS Advanced Features

TRAMS Advanced is made up of numerous components that transmit the on/off signal from the magazine button and trigger switch to the weapon accessory. These are the elements:
  • The trigger is a modified single stage mil-spec trigger with a movable blade. With 1 ounce of pressure, the blade retracts through the trigger. The magnetic switch engages when the blade is nearly two-thirds retracted, before it touches the trigger face. In the case of sand intrusion, the blade self-cleans.
  • The magazine module, which snaps around the magazine well, incorporates the magnetic sensor into a small flex circuit that lays inside the lower receiver under the trigger and is held in place by the trigger spring legs.
  • The rail module attaches to the weapon by sliding onto the Picatinny rail. It is connected to the magazine module via a short length of extremely durable cable. It is the system's brain, allowing the activation of single or dual accessories, and has a simple thumb wheel for channeling between visible and invisible light sources. Mission requirements typically use Covert (IR) emissions while infiltrating, and Overt (visible) emissions when breaching. Retasking via the thumb wheel takes less than one second.
The item is waterproof up to 60 feet, impact resistant, and built to military specifications. Plugs can be safetyt wired to the accessory for complete protection against failure.
The TRAMS Advanced weighs 5 ounces and has a five-year warranty from the date of purchase. The TRAMS Advanced is normally restricted to military and government clients, but on a case-by-case basis, special requests may be accepted.
Please note that the State Department has classified TRAMS Advanced as an ITAR Restricted item.
